FAQ

See below the answers to some frequently asked questions regarding coaching and my programmes.

A psychologist works with patients who suffer from a pathology or a trauma or who want to understand and alleviate a psychological pain. The approach is focused on the past and the “why”. Why do I feel this way today? Why am I behaving in such as way etc?

A coach works with clients who want to achieve a defined objective. The starting point is their current situation. The process is focused on the person’s resources to help him or her maximise his/her personal and professional potential. While elements of the past can be explored during coaching sessions, the approach is essentially oriented towards the future and the “how”. “How am I going to achieve my objectives?”. The coaching cycle is defined in time: the number of sessions is agreed upon at the beginning of the cycle. Finally, a coach is not an adviser but a professional who helps his/her clients identify objectives and design strategies that are right for them.

A coaching can complement or take place alongside a psychological treatment but cannot - in any way - substitute it.

I am a Professional Mastercoach, certified by the Institut de Coaching International (ICI), based in Geneva (www.ici.coach/). This training is recognised by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the leading international organisation for coaching. The course includes 322h of training. It is based on rigorous coaching methods delivered by experienced and ICF certified professionals.

I also hold the following certifications:

  • Coaching specialised in neurosciences, delivered by the "Academie Européenne des neurosciences".
  • Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (NLP) certification delivered by the Institut de Coaching International (ICI).
  • Specialised coaching course for secondary school students, delivered by the International School of Coaching.

I also follow regular training on various coaching tools.

A coaching cycle is a partnering between a coach and his/her client in a thought-provoking and creative process. The results depends first and foremost on the clients' willingness to change one or several aspects of their lives.

As a professional coach, I guarantee a rigorous and structured framework, through which I bring all my energy and competences to help my client explore and work on his situation. This includes - among others - defining a concrete and measurable objective, identify and activate resources and understanding and overcome self-limiting beliefs. I guide him through the design and implementation of an action plan in between sessions to ensure progress.

My Students & Graduates coaching programme is aimed specially at young people between 16-25 who are at the beginning of their career journey. It offers them the necessary space, time and tools to reflect on who they are, what they want and how to get there.

The programme is tailored to each situation but will be structured around discussions and fun exercices related to the student's values, achievements, skills and talents, initial ideas etc. The coaching's objective is for the students to gain clarity on his/her desired career path and identify the best way to get there. I also offer assistance in the drafting of CVs, cover letters and other procedures if necessary.

While respecting the confidentiality of the coaching sessions, I seek to establish a qualitative exchange with the parents throughout the cycle, to help them best guide their child during these important academic and career transitions.
